1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly: account information (name, email, phone number), profile data (age, gender, weight, height, fitness level), health data (blood pressure, glucose, weight, heart rate readings), medication information (names, dosages, schedules), workout history and exercise data, and equipment inventory from camera scans.
2. How We Use Your Information
Your information is used to: provide and personalize the App experience, generate AI-powered workout plans based on your equipment and fitness level, maintain your workout history and health data logs, enable social features (friend connections, workout sharing) if you choose to use them, and improve the App through anonymized usage analytics.
3. Health Data Handling
Your health data (blood pressure, glucose, weight, heart rate, medications) is stored securely in Firebase Cloud Firestore. Health data is strictly recorded and stored — it is never interpreted, evaluated, or analyzed for medical purposes. Health data is only accessible to you through your authenticated account. We do not share your health data with healthcare providers, insurance companies, or any third parties.
This app is not HIPAA-compliant and is intended for personal wellness tracking only. Do not use this app as a substitute for medical records systems. Consult your healthcare provider for medical record-keeping.
4. Data Storage & Security
All data is stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore) with encryption at rest and in transit. Authentication is handled through Firebase Authentication with support for email/password, Google Sign-In, Apple Sign-In, and phone verification. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information.
5. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services: Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Functions) for backend infrastructure, Anthropic Claude API for AI-powered features (workout generation, image analysis), and Expo for app delivery and updates. These services have their own privacy policies governing their handling of data.
When you use AI-powered features (scanning medication labels, health readings, or equipment), your images are sent securely to Anthropic's Claude API for data extraction. Images are not stored or used for AI training by Anthropic.
6. Data Sharing
We do NOT sell your personal data to anyone. We do NOT share your health or medication data with third parties. Social features (friend connections, workout sharing) only share information you explicitly choose to share. Anonymized, aggregated data may be used for App improvement.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to: access all data stored in your account, correct any inaccurate information in your profile, delete your account and all associated data, export your workout history and health data, opt out of personalized product recommendations, and withdraw consent for data processing at any time.
8. Data Retention
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all personal data, health records, and workout history are permanently deleted from our systems within 30 days. Anonymized analytics data may be retained indefinitely.
9. Children's Privacy
Homecise is designed for adults and is not intended for use by children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information.
